Wedding in Kirchberg Tyrol

Austria wedding photography; Last February I travelled to Kirchberg in Austria to document this wedding as second shooter together with a dear fellow photographer. The event took place for the entire weekend and it was an amazing experience. We had so much fun!

A winter wedding has something utterly romantic and magical. How to plan your winter wedding photoshoot? Here some tips we’d like to share.

Daylights on Winter days are  very particular. Light is so brilliant, but it quickly goes away. That is why you need to schedule your photo shoot for more light. Taking portraits before your ceremony is often a good idea. If you’re not sure how to go about this, just check with us for different options and we will see what will work best.

If it rains, if it snows, take always with you an umbrella. It doesn’t need to be fancy. A simple one, black , white or transparent can often do the job. If you’re wearing heels, take with you another shoe option for your outdoor pictures. It will help to feel more comfy. Keep your hands warm: ice-cold hands is something we don’t want to feel on our special day.  Hand warmers or winter gloves could come very handful and fancy too.

On Winter days it is very important to scout an alternative indoor location for shooting. That has to be a cozy place that makes you feel good and confortable. Winter can be very cold. Accessories like a veil, a faux fur stole,  a cape or a chic cardie will be important to keep warm.
